Refreshing My Mind & Body Through Movement
Sometimes, life calls for a refresh, not a dramatic overhaul, but a gentle return to center. This year, I felt the need to refresh. Not because anything was wrong, but because I wanted to feel more me again. And as always, I turned to movement.
For me, exercise is more than physical. It’s a form of self-connection. A way to clear out the mental clutter, recenter my energy, and start fresh. So I decided to shake things up a little. I added in new workouts, changed my routine, and gave myself permission to move differently—more intuitively, more playfully.
I blended strength training with yoga flows, went on long walks outside, and sprinkled in some dance-like cardio that made me laugh out loud. It wasn’t about hitting goals—it was about reclaiming joy in the way I move my body.
This refresh wasn’t just physical. Each session helped me breathe deeper, sleep better, and return to my day with a little more ease. My creativity started flowing again, my playlists got more inspired, and I started feeling clearer—in both body and mind.
If you’ve been feeling stuck, sluggish, or just in need of something new, I highly recommend an exercise refresh. You don’t need to train harder. Just shift the energy. Try a new yoga pose, a new class, walk in a different neighborhood, or dance in your kitchen. Let it be fun.
Sometimes the best transformations come not from forcing change, but from creating space for something new to rise.
